Save Relationship - Secrets to Finding Balance in Your Life!

Perhaps the secret to happiness lies in discovering your true self and how that realization relates to creating a better balance between all of life’s demands including work, family, community and self. I believe the secret to accomplishing this begins with trying not to control everything in our lives but, we do try, don’t we! Name one thing in your life right now that in the blink of an eye couldn’t be changed, lost, destroyed or swept away!!! Material things, employment, and even relationships can all change! So, why do we fight so frantically to hoard and control things? These things aren’t yours, they are only on loan!! And, what about the relationships in your life, do you try to control them as well? Does this mindset create the happiness in your life that you desire? You cannot control any of these things so please stop trying.

There is one thing that you can control though, your thoughts! This is the one and only thing that you can control and it affects your future far more than you can imagine. However, most of us are not mindful of our thoughts. Instead we mindlessly run day after day on auto pilot. We wake to go to work, often skipping breakfast in a rushed state of mind. We work all day, drink to much coffee or soda and fail to eat nutritious food, then make are way home to face a tired stressed partner and or children.

That is not how it is meant to be! Why are we not waking up refreshed, full of energy, getting some exercise and eating a nutritious breakfast and arriving at work relaxed and ready to work efficiently? Why are we not leaving work at a reasonable hour so we can prepare a nutritious meal, spend time with the family or friends and retire at a decent hour? What has happened to us? Have we lost control of who we are and why we are here? Have we become a group of self centered beings selfishly serving our own personal agendas?

In this modern life, have our egos taken over completely? We learn from a very young age to build an ego and live our lives through it. But the ego has no integrity or moral values. The ego is fear based and will invoke scarcity thinking, hoarding and actions born out of fear.

If we are to create balance in our lives we must face our egos and look into ourselves. It is there and there alone that we will find our true nature, our true self. The true self acts out of love not fear as the ego does. Generally when we face a challenge the ego will shout about how unfair life is, which causes us to adopt a victim mentality.

On the other hand the true self will see challenges in life for what they really are, a learning experience. The true self will realize the importance of standing up to the challenge and being prepared to endure whatever pain and suffering that challenge holds. Are you a victim? Are you blaming others for making your life difficult? Make no mistake about it, where you are right now in your life is a product of your decisions and the thoughts which you have projected. You are in this place for a reason! How could you be anywhere else? Now you can learn your lessons and grow from them, forging a path for a more balanced life full of abundance and love. Or, you can continue to be a victim and blame others for your misfortune while you sit back have another glass of wine and continue to attract the same type of misery in your life! So, which will it be warrior or victim?

Your life is in your hands

Your life is in your hands, whether you want to admit it or not. Your actions and thoughts in the here and now control the outcome in your future. So, if something jumps up from the sidewalk and bites you in the bum, it’s purely of your own manifestation. Understand that we live in a vast universe which connects us all. Each of us is but a mere drop of water that makes up a great ocean. Therefore, what one drop does effects the greater whole. Whatever you put forth you will attract back into your life. So be careful what you toss into the wind!!!

As we get caught up in the stresses of life, we develop a separatist attitude which is fostered by our ego. Think about it, have you ever felt that you need to grab all that you can before someone else gets it? I’m willing to bet you have at one time or another. This type of scarcity mentality separates us all and is the quickest way to bring pain and suffering to your life! Here’s the paradox; if you hoard things, are unkind, unloving and uncompassionate that is what you will get in return. If you put forth kindness, generosity, compassion, forgiveness and love these are the very things you will attract in your life!!!

Be mindful of your thoughts

Being mindful of ones thoughts does take some practice but, with the correct information and a little perseverance you’ll be on your way to a life of positive thinking. What thoughts do you have right now that serve others well and what is wasteful and even harmful to others? As you discover your true self you will automatically begin to mindfully watch your thoughts. So, finding your true self is essential to the process. As your true self begins to come forth the ego will take a back seat and the fear will leave. No longer will you act from fear but from love. A great way to accomplish this is through meditation. There are many different types of meditation. So, which one you choose is really not important. If you are not comfortable with the concept of meditation prayer will work as well. The end result is what’s important not the method. So, choose the method that’s most comfortable to you.

As you begin practicing mindfulness make an effort to offer a kind word or one act of generosity everyday. If you begin to search for these opportunities they will soon be attracted to you. From time to time you will find yourself having negative thought patterns. Even though this is quite normal do your best to immediately cancel these thoughts. If you find this continues to plague you, try using some positive affirmations. This can help bring your focus back to a positive way of thinking.

Life wasn’t meant to be so serious

For heaven sake, don’t take yourself so serious all the time! And, slow down!! Try to focus on the little things. These are the things that are the most fulfilling in life and bring happiness to us. And, who said that you are too old to laugh, have fun or be young at heart? When we slow life down we automatically tend to look at the little things in life. How about telling your child a funny story that makes him or her smile, or a sweet romantic gesture towards your partner that shows them how much you care. When we go through life full speed ahead we lose site of the little things, don’t we? So, slow down, laugh, live and love!!!

Trust

First, to really embrace the concept of living life according to your true self you must quiet your mind and learn to trust the flow of life. Everything will be ok. Stop worrying about the future. You see the future is not here yet. In fact, you may be affecting your future by worrying so in the present. Remember, “You are what you think”. So, if you are constantly living a life of worry you will attract more of the same. Often, a looming problem sits in your mind, causing you stress. For every problem, there is a solution. However, most of the time we don’t see the solution because we are so clouded by stress and anxiety. Now I am not saying that you don’t have to take some action or set the wheels in motion. The question is what action should you take or what wheels should you set in motion? Trust and the solution will be there for you and you will see it. In other words, believe it and you will see it! Ask for a solution and it will appear. But, it’s never blunt and always subtle. Try praying for a solution or if you wish to utilize meditation, I would suggest Jappa Meditation. If you would like additional information about Jappa Meditation feel free to contact me.

Intent

A powerful word indeed, far more powerful than you may imagine. As I mentioned previously, our thoughts in the here and now affect our future. Therefore, if we intend to attract something in our lives and it is truly heartfelt, we will attract it in our lives. Put the universal law of attraction into play in your life. Give it try and see. But, you must truly believe!!!

The purpose of life is to be happy and happiness can be found! Best wishes,

Best wishes,
